HyTest Awards 2017

16.06.2017

In 2014, we marked our 20th anniversary by presenting the HyTest Cardiac Marker Award. Now, in collaboration with IFCC and EFLM through the sponsorships of their awards, we have an excellent opportunity to continue to show our appreciation towards the scientific community.

To show our strong commitment towards supporting the scientific work in the field of cardiovascular diseases, we are proud to announce the winners of the following awards:

Dr. Thomas Kaier (The Rayne Institute, Dept of Cardiology, St Thomas’ Hospital, London) is the winner of the 2017 EFLM HyTest Cardiac Marker Award for remarkable scientific work in the field of cardiovascular diseases for the article: Quantifying the Release of Biomarkers of Myocardial Necrosis from Cardiac Myocytes and Intact Myocardium. This award was presented for the first time during the Opening Ceremony of the 22nd IFCC-EFLM EuroMedLab Congress in Athens. Read more about the award here.

Dr. Jack H. Ladenson (Division of Laboratory and Genomic Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, US), is the winner of the 2017 IFCC Distinguished Award for Contributions to Cardiovascular Diagnostics, sponsored by HyTest. This award honours an individual who has undertaken remarkable scientific work with cardiac markers or immunodiagnostic applications to improve cardiac disease diagnosis.
