There are four types of influenza viruses: A, B, C, and D. Influenza A and B viruses circulate and cause seasonal epidemics, with Influenza A also being responsible for pandemics that periodically occur, such as the H1N1 strain in 2009. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that there are approximately one billion cases of seasonal influenza annually, including 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness. To meet the escalating need for developing assays for influenza A, which varies from year to year, manufacturers must continually update their products. As a raw materials supplier, HyTest is always striving to develop new products to meet market needs and improve patient outcomes.
Following our recent launch of the latest anti-influenza Type B antibodies, HyTest is excited to announce the introduction of new anti-influenza Type A antibodies (Cat. # 3IN5). These antibodies are specifically designed to target the nucleoprotein (NP) of the influenza Type A virus. The new lineup includes FA17, FA32, FA35, FA38, FA52, FA58, FA91, and FA94, all of which are derived from a diverse group of animals, such as mice, rats, rabbits, and sheep. Except for those derived from mice, all the MAbs have been transferred into a recombinant format. The variety in the sources of immunization enables us to offer a wider range of options for your application platforms, meeting diverse testing requirements.
Our monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) can recognize up to 16 different strains of the influenza A virus. All our MAbs are highly suitable for lateral flow (LF) assays, with our top-performing pair achieving a sensitivity level of 0.5 ng/ml against recombinant influenza A NP antigen. Furthermore, all MAbs have demonstrated no cross-reactivity with influenza B NP, and tests with SARS-CoV-2 NP have also shown no cross-reaction.
Antibodies FA17, FA32, FA35, FA38, FA52, FA58,
FA91, FA94 are also compatible with chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) and enzyme
immunoassay (EIA). For more information, please contact our Sales Team and
