What kind of changes do you see coming in the next few years in your work and the diagnosis of diseases? What are likely to be the future trends?
An ageing population, an increasing number of genetic disorders and infectious diseases, the need for rapid tests, as well as pandemic infections appearing from time to time that require quick and reliable testing. Individuals are more aware and interested in self-testing and well-being, which leads to the need for preventive diagnostics. Veterinary diagnostic panels will expand. Lifestyle diseases will continue to increase and cardiovascular, metabolic, thyroid and cancer markers will be in demand. AI, algorithms, and big data will be used more in the data-driven healthcare and risk assessments.

What would you say are the main pain points in the current cardiac disease diagnostics?
Large patient flow requesting a quick, reliable, and early need of diagnosis in connection with the prioritization of the patients and the ruling out of the healthier individuals. Accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the antibodies are also necessary. Preventive diagnostics and early-on diagnostics are needed.
In general, the antibodies are the crucial component in all the tests. By choosing the highest quality antibodies, the IVD manufacturer shortens the time and cost in product development, validation, and the manufacturing stage, and it shortens the time-to-market with the new generation cardiac markers.
