Hytest is pleased to welcome Syed Shah and Fang-Yi Chu to Hytest North America, marking an important step in the continued evolution of our customer-focused commercial organization in the region.

Over the past year, Hytest North America has been intentionally advancing its approach to customer support — moving beyond the role of a raw material supplier to act as a trusted technical partner throughout the assay development lifecycle. Strengthening local expertise is a key part of this strategy, enabling closer collaboration with IVD customers from early evaluation through full commercialization.

Syed joins Hytest as National Account Manager, West Region. He brings a strong bench-to-business background, combining hands-on laboratory experience with commercial expertise in diagnostics. Prior to joining Hytest, Syed served as an Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he worked with cell and gene therapy portfolios and supported the adoption of molecular diagnostic technologies. Earlier in his career, he was a Biomedical Research Associate at MD Anderson Cancer Center, contributing to molecular diagnostics research using advanced workflows such as cell culture and immunofluorescence. This combination of scientific and commercial experience enables Syed to engage with customers as a true technical partner.

Fang-Yi joins Hytest as National Account Manager, East Region. She holds a PhD in Biophysics and brings several years of client-facing experience in protein and antibody production. With a strong scientific foundation and practical industry experience, Fang-Yi supports customers across multiple stages of assay development, ensuring both technical depth and a strong customer focus throughout the process.

Together, Syed and Fang-Yi further strengthen Hytest's ability to support IVD partners across North America with high-performance reagents, combined with expert technical insight and close regional collaboration.
