The new antigen complements Hytest’s established portfolio of NfL antibodies (Cat. #4NF3), providing customers with an expanded reagent solution for the development and validation of NfL assays.
NfL is increasingly studied as a biomarker of neuro-axonal injury in neurological diseases and conditions, including multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), dementia, traumatic brain injury and stroke. As interest in blood-based neurological biomarkers continues to grow, well-characterized antigen reagents are important for the development of reliable and reproducible NfL assays.
Hytest’s NfL antigen is a full-length recombinant human NfL protein consisting of 543 amino acids and based on the native human NfL sequence listed in UniProt P07196.
