New MAbs Specific to Canine Parvovirus (CPV)

29.11.2018

We have included three new anti-CPV antibodies to our offering. These new MAbs work well in different pair combinations demonstrating high sensitivity in sandwich immunoassays. Whilst the two old anti-CPV MAbs have been very popular, these new MAbs will further improve our customers’ options to find the best combination in their unique assay setup.

Canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2) causes severe and highly contagious disease in dogs. A common manifestation of parvovirus infection is hemorrhagic enteritis. Vomiting and diarrhea can cause rapid dehydration, and most deaths from parvovirus occur within 48 to 72 hours following onset of clinical signs. The infection is most commonly diagnosed from feces with lateral flow rapid tests.

Five MAbs and a recombinant antigen

In total, we provide five MAbs specific to CPV-2. All MAbs have been tested in-house in sandwich immunoassays using our recombinant CPV VP2 protein as an antigen. In addition, the three new MAbs – 2A10, 3G3 and 3H6 – were tested by some of our trusted customers in their own lateral flow assays.
